How do I book my wedding with CA? (PS. It's all electronic!)

1. Fill out a Booking Form here to inquire about your wedding and receive a personalized quote! (not that a minimum of 5 prime services are required to reserve your date for your wedding party - this does not count towards elopements.)

2. Receive a quote from me via email. I guarantee a quote within 72 hours or next business day!

3. Once I have your approval for your quoted services, I will send a contract and invoice via email.

4. Read through, sign your contract and put down a $150.00 non-refundable retainer (that goes towards your total service bill of course!) to reserve your wedding date!

5. You're done!

How far out should I book my makeup/hair artist?

As soon as you can! For each professional, it can vary. As for myself on average, I book 9-12+ months in advance. I recommend booking, at minimum, 6 months out. Fill out my Booking Form to start the booking process! (Note, my bookings are done on a first come first serve basis with a signed contract and $150.00 non-refundable retainer.)

Do I have to know how many services will be needed before booking?

Ideally I need that information for the contract when booking. However, I understand that sometimes it's hard to have a solid number right away. All I need to know is a minimum of how many people want their makeup or hair done or a minimum of 4 prime services (adult hair or makeup) or package minimum of $470.00. You don't have to know timeline or other specifics. As long as I have that, we are good to go until we get a bit closer. Note that you can almost always upgrade services or add on (limited to our availability and your wedding day schedule), but I don't subtract. Once something is added on the contract, it is final (within reason, of course.) That's why I always say start with only those you know for sure!

How do I pay?

Payments are accepted electronically through the invoice on your contract. The retainer will be collected at the signing of the contract with the rest due the morning of your event which will be automatically charged to your card on file. No one wants to deal with last minute payments during their wedding day so I've streamline this for you!

 

My bridesmaids are paying for themselves. Can you invoice them separately?

For liability reasons I must collect payment all in one invoice, but of course you can collect their payments to reimburse you! Most often the wedding party Venmo's the bride or couple.

Do I have to do a trial?

Absolutely!! It truly makes for the most relaxed and stress free wedding morning - for you and for me! Trials are a great way for us to collaborate and create the perfect look for you without any time restraints. I want you to be confident in your customized look and this is the best way to get a sneak peek. I'll even note all the products used and take detailed pictures to make sure it's recreated perfectly and efficiently for the big day!

 

When should I schedule my trial?

I recommend 4-10 weeks before your wedding date. Ultimately it depends on your availability and mine. I'm open most weekdays and sometimes have Sunday availability. Of course Saturdays are reserved for awesome weddings just like yours. ;) I also send reminders to get it scheduled, no worries! 

 

Can I schedule a trial before booking?

I reserve trials for booked client's only due to limited availability.

What type of makeup do you use? Do you provide airbrush?

Allie provides airbrush and traditional for all 2022, and beyond, weddings and events! For 2021 Allie only offers traditional applications. She and her team provide traditional makeup applications as well using pro photo-finishing foundation that is extremely light-weight, has customizable coverage and shades that look seamless. Combine that with my brushes and technique, you will get the same wear and look as airbrush foundation. I am not an advocate for airbrush being the ultimate answer for everyone. It is just like any other makeup - it works for some and sometimes not for others. I've worked hard and continue to work hard learning about new techniques and products to keep my knowledge and services in tip-top shape. I have products for all skin types and tones. If you have a specific need, please reach out! I usually have an answer to ease your concerns or I will buy products to work with your needs. I'm always looking to grow my kit and give the best care for my brides and couples!

What do we need to bring? How do we prepare for our applications or styling?

SHORT ANSWER: I'll guide you through this as your date draws near! I prepare you and your party by detailing how to prepare for services within your Beauty Schedule + Prep Guide (provided 1-3 months out). I won't leave ya hanging! If you have specific questions, reach out! But rest assured that my team and I will provide full diverse kits to cover all skin tones/types and hair types. We gotchu!

LONG ANSWER:

MAKEUP: Come with a clean face and your skincare already applied. Although I will prep your skin with products prior to your application, it's best to use what your skin already loves. I won't do much more than use mi-cellar water and a moisturizer/primer that pairs well with your makeup and skin type for longevity. You don't need to bring any makeup as I will have all that I need but you're more than welcome to bring it if you'd prefer. Keep in mind I am most skilled in my kit and the outcome can vary if I use your products. If you or anyone in your party has concerns about anything, contact me and I will make sure you're covered!

HAIR: Please have dry hair, free of any products including: oils, hairspray, leave in conditioners, etc. It's best to work with your natural hair and don't worry, I'll have products to cater to everyone's needs! I don't mind it being freshly washed before styling as long as it is completely dry. If you prefer second day old hair, go for it! Just keep in mind, if you tend to have oily hair that can accrue quickly and weigh down the style loosing longevity. I suggest a wash the morning of or night before to keep your style looking fresh all day!

 

I already have a makeup artist, can you do just hair or vise versa?

Absolutely! I love connecting with other artists in the industry and collaborating although once I am hired for makeup (or hair) alone, I must be the exclusive artist or stylist for said hired services unless a second artist is brought on by me. I only want the best for you!!

How long does it take to do hair or makeup? Do you have more than one artist or stylist?

I do not like to exceed 5-7 hours, and typically, I don't bring on an additional Beauty Professional (hair/makeup artist) unless I have to surpass that time, have a minimum of 8 services, OR a minimum package of $830.00. I know 5-7 hours sounds like a long time but it's actually a standard in the wedding beauty industry and I promise, it will fly by!! Usually it's just one Beauty Professional, myself, coming to beautify everyone. I can always hire an additional Beauty Professional (administrative fee of $160/additional hmua would apply) to cut back on time or add services if you need it, however, you must have a minimum of 8 prime services or a package of or equal to $830.00 to bring on 1 additional Beauty Professional.

 

Keep in mind I can not guarantee an additional Beauty Professional if requested less than 3 months prior to your wedding day - although I will try my best!! I need to know if that is something you will need around the time of booking, or 3+ months out, to give me and the tentative second Beauty Pro ample time to check availability and seal the deal! I only hire professionals that I trust and that have remarkable work. If this is something you think you might need, let me know and I will walk you through the process!
